The Utah Film & Video Center presents "The Burning Man" and other short works by local filmmaker Trent Harris tonight at the Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple.

A former cameraman and reporter for KUTV's "Extra" news program, Harris has written and directed the independent films "Rubin & Ed" and "Plan 10 From Outer Space."His visual-only documentary, "The Burning Man" focuses on an annual pagan ritual in the Arizona desert. Also featured in the one-night-only screening will be "Naked Reality," a stream-of-consciousness documentary, and "Beaver Kid," which follows an anxious would-be celebrity in south-central Utah.

Though the works are not rated, some, especially "The Burning Man," contain material in the R-rated range.

Admission for the screening, which starts at 8 p.m., is $5.
