Boots on and ready to rock, country's cowboy rock 'n' roller, Chris LeDoux will thunder into Utah Saturday night, May 10, for a 7:30 p.m. performance at Ogden's Dee Events Center, 4400 S. Harrison Blvd., on the Weber State University campus. There are still some very good seats left, but they are going fast. All seats can be purchased for $20.50 at the Dee ticket office and any Smith Tix outlet, just call 1-800-WSU-TIKS or 1-800-888-8499, for reservations.
Country's favorite "Golden Boy"' will brand his audience with a combination of "Western soul, sagebrush blues, cowboy folk and rodeo rock `n' roll." LeDoux will sing songs from his soon to be released album "Live," set to hit the stores June 17, a blend of concert favorites that should satisfy any hard-core LeDoux junkie and a few cuts that are a bit different from previous works. This latest album will be LeDoux's first live performance recording for Capital Nashville. Rumor has it that an upcoming video will feature LeDoux and his audience at this weekend's performance. Song selection for this live production hinged on the faithfulness to the "adrenaline, sweat and power of an actual LeDoux performance." In his own words, LeDoux will tell you, "It's raw, it's real and it's loud!" He is known to pull out all stops during his concerts. Smoke, mist, fireworks, B-3 organ and flashpots are a few of his tricks. He has even employed the use of a bronco-bustin' bucking machine.
The foot-stompin', head-bobbin' musical frenzy will be backed up with LeDoux's own road band, Western Underground. The Western Underground may pay homage to their Utah roots with a rendition of "Thank You, Utah." All original band members are Utah boys.
Expect solid gold at this performance. LeDoux is sure to shine through with a wild and woolly performance. - Connie Wall
