Lena Dolores "Dee" Hardy, age 67, died on May 5, 1997 in Merritt Island, Florida.

She was born on August 18, 1929 in St. George, Utah to Howard and Elma Ruby Pectol.Dee was reared and educated in St. George. She graduated from Dixie High School and attended Dixie College. Dee lived in many places in the world, traveling with her military husband. She was an avid tennis player in her younger years. She was a reader of world history and stayed abreast of current events. Dee was an active member of the LDS Church, where she taught Primary for many years and served as Primary president. She was always willing to help others. She moved back to St. George in 1974 and for the last few years she had been living part of the year in Cape Canaveral, FL.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Robert Hardy of St. George, Utah; three children, Jolene (husband, Kev) Alexanian of Pineville, Oregon; Robert, Jr. (wife, Tanya) Hardy of Moab, Utah; Lisa Gail DeMille of Clearmont, Florida; six grandchildren; two sisters, Colleen (husband, Jack) Stonehocker of Las Vegas, Nevada; Utahna Cole of Malibu, California.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 1997 at 10 a.m. in the St. George 10th Ward Chapel, 591 West 500 North, St. George, Utah. Interment will be in the St. George Cemetery under the direction of Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary, St. George, Utah. 673-2454.
