Luonna Graff Sonntag, "Lou" to her friends and associates died on June 19, 1997. She was seventy years old.

Born on May 16, 1927 in Salt Lake City, she was the daughter of George William Graff andVinnie Mae Mangum. She graduated from South High School in 1945 and from Westminister College in 1983. On August 5, 1949 she married George Tadje Sonntag. They later divorced. For the past twenty-five years she worked for IHC at Cottonwood and LDS Hospitals and the Holladay Instacare Center. Lou taught those around her about love and compassion with her generous spirit and regard for those around her.

Luonna was the mother to four children: Martha Sonntag Bradley; Christopher Brian and Tammie Sanford Sonntag; Phillip George Sonntag; and Peter Graff and Heidi Haeckel Sonntag. She was a devoted grandmother to fifteen grandchildren: Jason, Elizabeth, Rachael, Emily, Katelyn, and Patrick Bradley; Jamie, Katie, Annie, Scott and Jeffrey Sonntag; and, Sara Jane, Samuel, Emma, and Thomas Sonntag. She was also grandma great to Aspen and Kristen Sierra.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday June 25, 1997 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wed. 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
