Dr. Glen R. "Bud" Winn, Jr. formerly of Smithfield, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Saturday, August 9, 1997 at his home in Studio City, California.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 12, 1933, he was the son of Glen Riches and Mae Huber Winn. Dr. Winn received his medical education at the University of Utah, graduating with high honors and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha.He is survived by three children, Susan Furniss Potter (Mrs. Jim) of Salt Lake City, who is employed by Channel 2 News; Glen Riches Winn, III and Brandon Winn, both of Sacramento; two granddaughters; three sisters, Barbara Gutke (Mrs. Harold), Smithfield; Elaine Maring (Mrs. George), Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Margaret Arnold (Mrs. Ned), Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held in North Hollywood on Thursday, August 14. Graveside services and internment will be conducted in the Smithfield City Cemetery on Saturday, August 16, 1997 at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
