Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Russell Max Kunzler, age 67, of Richfield, Utah, returned to his Heavenly home, September 18, 1997, in Richfield.

He was born April 7, 1930, to William and Elsa Wolsky Kunzler in Willard, Utah. He was first and foremost, loving and dedicated to his family. He married Twila Manwill, his eternal wife and companion, March 25, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Settling in Richfield, he was employed at Whiting Motor where he eventually became a partner in the business. He was greatly appreciated for his honesty and character, and loved by all who were recipients of his compassion. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served in many capacities in the church including counselor in two bishoprics and branch presidency of the Fish Lake Branch, High Councilor, Elders and Seventies Quorum president, High priest group leader. He spent many years with the young men, working in the Aaronic Priesthood and Scouting program. He was a recipient of the Silver Beaver award. Civic and community service included membership in the Kiwanis Club, where he served as both local and district president. He was a member of the Sevier Valley Applied Technology Center Governing Board, and Richfield City planning and zoning commission. He is a veteran of the Korean War.Russell is survived by his wife of Richfield; seven children, Lynette and Jack White, Richard and JoAnn Kunzler, both of Payson; Kathlene Kunzler, William and Val Kunzler, Steven and Holly Kunzler, all of Richfield; Lamar and Nadine Kunzler, Elko NV; Max and Donna Kunzler, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; three sisters and eight brothers, Floyd and Erva Kunzler, Ida and Boyd Barker, Arnold and Gloria Kunzler, all of Ogden; Glen and Arlene Kunzler, Willard; Ernest and Delores Kunzler, Corrinne; Mark and Doris Kunzler, Spencer and Andra Kunzler, Rosanne and Richard Randall, Reese and Sue Kunzler, all of ID; Lewis and Kathy Kunzler, Scottsdale, AZ; Carol and Cecil Smith, Sandy; sister-in-law, Karen Kunzler, ID; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Kunzler Jr.; granddaughter, Jami; and four nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 22, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Richfield 5th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Monday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will with Military Rites by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050 will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Neal S.Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, UT.
