Residents of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, try to pass through a flooded street after rain and wind swept through this Baja California resort Monday. Residents of the Baja peninsula were told to prepare for the storm and to make sure they had drinking water and a radio or television ready. Warnings were also posted in the states of Sinaloa and Sonora in case Nora crossed over the peninsula and struck the mainland. Nora earlier slammed Mexico's Pacific coast and destroyed coastal homes.
