Nevada John Holman, our beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt, left this earthly existence on Sept. 22, 1997.
She was born October 15, 1906 in Fillmore, Utah to Barclay and Mary Ann Trimble John. Clear Lake, Utah was her home during her childhood and teen years. On March 19, 1928, she married Harvey Benjamin Holman. They resided in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death.An active member of the LDS Church. She served in the Ninth Ward, Liberty Stake Relief Society presidency for over 20 years. She loved genealogy and family research. She was an avid reader and enjoyed good books and gaining knowledge. Her greatest joys in life were her family and her religion. Her ways were always gentle and kind to everyone she knew or met.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Beverly (John) Oswald, W. Vancouver, B.C., Canada; Robert (Marge); Wallace; Judy (Randy) Sorenson, Salt Lake City; daughter-in-law, Peggy Holman; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dallas; and five sisters.
The family expresses their appreciation to: the devoted staff members (past and present) at Federal Heights Rehabilitation for their special care. Many thanks goes to Ann Hunter, Barbara Martinez, Josh, Alberta, Stephanie, Celeste, Donna, Sally, Josie and all the other nurses and aides. Also to the Eleventh Ward for providing Relief Society and Sacrament Meeting at the nursing home.
Services to be held Saturday, September 27, 1997 at 11 a.m., Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South. Family and friends may call Friday, 6:30-8 p.m. at Deseret and one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
