The Honey Rods will play the Zephyr Club, 301 S. West Temple, Thursday, Oct. 2. The band's self-titled debut is filled with anthemlike rhythms, catchy guitar hooks filled with sharpness to give the band a fine sense of pop. While members of the Honey Rods grew up in the country confines of Nashville, they decided to veer away from the country/southern blues vein. Doors for the concert open at 7 p.m.
