Like just about everyone else in America, Corbin Allred has watched "The Brady Bunch." But, being the polite type, he's a bit reluctant to talk about it.

"I watched it a little bit," he said. "I made fun - extreme fun - of the show."(Well, didn't we all?)

Allred does, however, fondly remember Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia on that show. "She was cute," he said.

And now, 23 years after "The Brady Bunch" was canceled, McCormick is back on a sitcom. On "Teen Angel," to be specific. And she's playing Allred's mother.

The young actor was somewhat taken aback by the casting at first.

"He said, `Mom, she's not old enough to be my mother,' " his real mother, Diane, said.

"Well, I didn't think she was," Corbin said. "She looks and sounds so young. It's not bad to have a beautiful mother on TV."

Then, noting the expression on his real mother's face, he quickly amended, "It's great to have a beautiful mother and then have a beautiful mother on the set, too."

McCormick, 41, was flattered to learn that Allred thought she was too young to play his mother. "Well, I am!" she insisted.

And the former teen star is already a fan of her TV son.

"I looove him. I do," McCormick said. "We've been hanging out, and in between scenes we all grab a guitar and start harmonizing. He's really cool. I like him a lot."
