A former prime minister of Canada will speak at the annual Palmer Canadian Studies Lecture at Brigham Young University on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. in 710 Tanner Building.

The lecture by Kim Campbell is called "Canada and the United States: Partnership in New Times" and is sponsored by the Canadian Studies Program and the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. The public is welcome.Campbell was Canada's 19th prime minister and the first woman to hold the office.

Campbell is now the consul general for Canada in Los Angeles.
