Mayne E. Clingman, a good man and great soul untied his earthly bonds Wednesday morning, Sept. 24, 1997.
Born an Aquarian on January 30, 1933 in Ashfork, Arizona to Ila Larue Colton and Charles E. Clingman, Sr. Prior to moving to Salt Lake, he lived in Price, where he married Joann L. Chesnik, July, 1956, they were later divorced.Dad with his clever mind, always had new ideas going and was a successful businessman in Salt Lake. A man with great integrity and ingenuity - he will be missed by family, friends and business associates. He touched many lives. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his daughters, Charmayne and Robin Clingman of Salt Lake City; sisters, Mrs. Robert (Clara) Miller, Price; Mrs. Hank (Mary Lou) Fernandez, Torrence, CA; grandchildren: Tammy and Jason; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his companion, Mary Hendrix, whose unconditional help and support for dad cannot be measured. Preceded in death by his mother; father; brother, Chuck Climgman; and an infant sister.
We wish to thank Doctors Stephen Aslami and Kent Thorn for their dedicated and understanding care as well as all the health professionals who assisted in his care.
A celebration of dad's time with us will be held Saturday, September 27, 1997 from 6-8 p.m. at the New Age of Aquarius, 870 So. Main Street. Bring your stories so we can share the gift of being part of his life.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 1997, 10 a.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East First South. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Price City Cemetery, 595 E. 400 N., Price, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, dad would be pleased if you cared to make a donation in his memory to your favorite charity. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
