Lois Swain Pugh, devoted wife, caring mother, and loving grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home January 9, 1998.

Born August 12, 1919 to Emanuel and Alice Pearce Swain in Roosevelt, Utah. Lois married Paul G. Pugh, April 23, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lois and Paul have 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren to love them for eternity. Lois was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as president of the Primary and Relief Society as well as many other callings. She enjoyed reading, camping and volunteer work at the LDS Hospital. She served as a temple ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for many years.Survived by husband, Paul; sons, Richard (Jeri), David (Susan), Tom (Janet), Rodney (Nickie); and daughter, Merrilee (Dee) Esplin. Preceded in death by her brothers, Arneldo, Foy, Harland; and sisters, Ardell and Verda.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 13, 1998 in the Canyon Rim Ward building located at 3100 East 3000 South. Friends may call at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 12 and on Tuesday, January 13 from 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Wasatch Lawn
