A pair of shrine maidens share an umbrella on their way through the snow-covered courtyard of Meiji shrine on Thursday. Metro Tokyo was hit by another heavy snow, causing the worst-ever commuter disruptions. Up to 16 inches of snow was expected in Nagano, site of next month's Olympics.
