Afton Cornaby Allen, has finally found peace after years of struggling with Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's Disease. She taught her care-givers many lessons as she faced her challenges with grace and courage.
Afton was born September 14, 1914, to Samuel H. and Charlotte Sterling Cornaby, in Spanish Fork, Utah. She grew up in a loving family with seven brothers and sisters. She married Edward C. Allen, April 8, 1939. Afton's love and commitment to her family was apparent to those around her.She is survived by her husband, Edward C. Allen, of Draper; children, Clark E (Julie) Allen, of Seattle, Washington; Kathy (Paul) Harris, of Sandy; Jeanne Allen, of Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Michelle, Edward, Marci, and Jeff; brothers, Robert Cornaby, of Orem; Wayne Cornaby, of Ogden; one sister, Ruth Medlin, of Atascadero, California. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Estelle and Blanche and two brothers, Leslie and Sterling.
A special appreciation goes to those who lovingly cared for Afton; Moko, Tui, Uini, Sabra, Christie, and especially Kathy Baird and her children, Christa, Nicole, and Shane, who opened their hearts and home to Afton, Ed and their family.
As per Afton's request, private family services will be held at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery.
