Three teenagers were referred to juvenile court after a portable toilet was blown up with a homemade bomb Sunday.
The trio built a plastic pipe bomb from materials found around their north Provo homes, according to Karen Mayne, Provo Police spokeswoman. Police said one of the three had watched a television program in which a bomb was set off in a portable toilet.A witness told police he heard the explosion and saw three children run away near 4300 North and Sheffield Drive, Mayne said. The man's wife called police, and officers found the juveniles in the area.
