1st quarter: Karl Malone scores 11 points, while Greg Ostertag adds eight and six rebounds for the Jazz. Utah outrebounds Golden State 15-7.

2nd quarter: Chris Morris comes off the bench and gives the Jazz a boost. He scores five points with three rebounds, one blocked shot and one steal in nine minutes. Utah leads by 13 points, 51-38, at intermission.

3rd quarter: Malone scores 14 points as the Jazz continue to pull away. Utah leads by as many as 23 points and enter the final period with a 79-59 advantage.

4th quarter: Golden State scores the first eight points of the quarter against Utah's all-sub lineup. Stockton is forced to return to action, but Malone and Jeff Hornacek are able to rest for the entire period. Bryon Russell nets all eight of his points in the period.

Who's hot: Malone scored 27 points in a season-low 26 minutes. He was 8-for-14 from the field and 11-for-14 from the foul line.

Key to the game: Golden State is not very good. The Jazz didn't play well but were never really threatened. Utah also owned the boards, out-rebounding the Warriors 52-38.
