A Murray boy remained in critical but stable condition Tuesday morning at University Hospital following a house fire in Murray Saturday afternoon.

Brandon North, 5, is being treated for smoke inhalation and burns to his face and hand, a hospital staffing coordinator said. She said she didn't have information on the type of burns, which were over 5 percent of his body.Investigators said they believe the boy was playing with matches and accidentally started the blaze in the home on Brahma Drive. Firefighters found the boy unconscious in a living room on the upper floor.
