The preliminary hearing for the man accused of killing a woman in an American Fork apartment has been set for Feb. 6 at 1:30 p.m. in 4th District Court.
Michael J. Patterson is accused of killing 18-year-old Stephanie Ann Woolfork and dumping her body in Spanish Fork Canyon. The murder charge is a first-degree felony.Patterson, who is being held at the Salt Lake County Jail, was not present when Judge Ray Harding Sr. and defense and prosecution attorneys agreed on a court date.
Patterson has been a prisoner since July, when he was charged with attempted murder in the July 25 shooting in Salt Lake City of Alexis Star Caldwell, Woolfork's room-mate.
Woolfork's decomposed body was discovered Aug. 24. Police believe she was killed prior to the Caldwell shooting.
