Do you worry about poor digestion? Are you concerned about symptoms that might indicate you have colon cancer? An answer or at least some advice is only a telephone call away.
On Saturday, the Deseret News and Intermountain Health Care will sponsor Health Care Hotline, a free service in which callers talk directly with medical specialists about their concerns. The topic this month is gastroenterology, which covers all sorts of digestive and related disorders.
Dr. Randall J. Ryser, who is on the staff of Cottonwood Hospital, and Dr. Ronald Joseph, who practices at Cottonwood and St. Mark's hospitals, will field the queries from 10 a.m. until noon. Both are gastroenterologists.
To reach them from anywhere in the region, dial the toll-free hotline number, 1-800-925-8177. Callers will not be asked to give their names. An article summarizing some of the questions and answers is planned for Sunday's newspaper.
