Clayton Francis Anderson, age 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all, passed away October 10, 1998, at the Salt Lake LDS Hospital following back surgery and complications of lungs and heart.

Born September 19, 1924, in East Midvale, Utah, to Francis A. and Florence Wood Anderson, the oldest of five children. Married Lucille Ungricht, April 11, 1945, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with one daughter and two sons. He was a high priest in the River Third Ward.Clayton was a general engineering and building contractor. He was very successful in his work. He filled contracts for Jordan and Granite School Districts, for Utah State Building Board, Utah Power and Light Co. and Mountain Bell Telephone Co. He was a co-owner and developer of Willow Creek Mesa Subdivision and president of Willow Creek Mesa Corporation. He was builder and owner of several post office buildings.

He loved the mountains, camping, fishing, hunting and dancing with his wife Lucille and spending time with his family.

Survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucille; daughter and sons, Jeanne (Pat) of South Jordan, Brent C. of Salt Lake City, and Brian J. of Fruit Heights; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Bryant, Burton and Kathleen O'Connor. Preceded in death by a sister Shirley.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 14, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the River 3rd Ward, 7150 So. Callie Drive (1520 West). Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, and Wednesday at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
