WOMEN'S GOLF: Freshman Carrie Summerhays finished in the top 10 for the second time in her career, shooting a three-round total 9-over par 225 at the Northwest Invitational Tuesday in Corvallis, Ore. Summerhays took eighth individually and led BYU to an eighth-place finish out of 13 teams.

Utah State

MEN'S GOLF: Utah State's Chris Moody tied for 17th at the Wolf Pack Golf Classic in Reno on Tuesday. He helped lead the Aggie golf team to a 10th-place finish out of 18 teams. Moody shot 2-under par for a score of 70 on the final day. At 46th, Mike Haws was the second highest ranked Aggie golfer.

Southern Utah

CROSS COUNTRY: Amy Hermann, a Youngstown State University senior volleyball player, and Curtis Moore, a Southern Utah University sophomore cross-country runner, have been named September's Mid-Continent Conference Student-Athletes of the Month.


MEN'S GOLF: UVSC took top honors in the Wolverine Invitational after a 299 at Alpine Country Club Tuesday to finish with 584, 11 better than Dixie (595).
