Fay Jean Pearson Hamblin, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, at the home of her daughter, on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, after a courageous six year battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 16, 1929 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Irvin Lars and Edna Mayhew Pearson, the oldest of six children. Graduated from Davis High School, a proud member of the class of 1947. She married Richard Hamblin of Clearfield, Utah, on September 23, 1949. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a lifelong, active member of the LDS Church serving positions in both Primary and Relief Society. She was a member of the DUP Antelope Island Camp, serving as historian.Survived by her husband, Richard; and four children, Kathie (Ray) Sipe, Richmond, UT; Judy (Kevin) Mauchley, Kaysville; Joni Beecher, Salt Lake City; and Ric Hamblin, Farmington. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Alan (Colleen) Pearson; and four sisters, Marilyn Bennett (Bob) Nutter, Elaine (Mark) Mrogan, LaRae (Neil) Bailey, and Wilma Thayne (Kent) Powell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 North Main. Friends and family may call Friday at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church, prior to services. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
