Auditions have been scheduled by the following theater troupes:
- City Rep for its upcoming production of "The Snow Queen." Auditions are Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at City Rep's Family Theatre, 638 S. State.Amy Richardson will direct. All roles are open. Those auditioning should be 8 years of age or older.
Children's parts include the key roles of Gerda and Kae.
Other major roles are the Snow Queen, Grandmother, Robber Girl, Crow and Finn Man, as well as several male and female movers/dancers. Some roles may be double-cast if players cannot attend all scheduled performances.
Adult actors will be paid, based on their participation in daytime school performances.
Come prepared with a 30-second fantasy monologue and a 30-second dance piece (dramatic, interpretive or ballet). Casette and CD players will be provided.
Performances will be Dec. 5-21 including several weekday school matinees.

- The Grand Theatre at Salt Lake Community College's South City Campus, 1575 S. State, for "Damn Yankees."
Auditions will be Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. until noon, in the Alumni Room (W-181, across the theater). Come prepared with 16 bars of a musical theater song. An accompanist will be provided. Also come prepared to dance.

All roles are open, except that of Gloria. One boy and one girl, 9 to 13 years of age, are also needed.
Richard Scott is directing, with Alan LaFleur as choreographer and Jay Gunderson as music director. Rehearsals will begin Nov. 18 and the production will run Jan. 22-Feb. 9.
