Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Mabel Elenore Mawson Christensen, 86, passed away Oct. 20, 1998, in Salt Lake City.
Mabel was born October 24, 1911, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Joseph Amos and Mina Leethem Mawson. Mabel was a kind and loving individual who was devoted to her family. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Mabel's passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.Survivors include one daughter, Gail (Mark) Snow, Kearns, Utah; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Ella P. Penney, Downey, CA; and one brother Orval Mawson, CA. Preceded in death by 10 brothers and one great grandson, Chase Butterfield.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 24, 1998, at 11 a.m., at the Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South. Friends may call Friday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East.
