Residents can safely drink their drinking water once again.
A boil order was lifted Thursday about 4:30 p.m. For a week, residents have been warned to boil tap water or use bottled water after E. coli bacteria were found in a portion of the city's water sytem. The remains of a large raccoon, found at the bottom of the city's culinary reservoir, was thought to have caused the contamination.Mount Olympus Waters, which has been donating drinking water at City Hall during the boil order, will no longer donate water to residents.
