Gary R. Herbert, a Realtor from Orem, has been elected the 1999 chairman of the National Association of Realtors State and Local Fiscal Affairs Committee. A realtor for 28 years, he is president of Herbert & Associates Inc., in Orem. He currently serves as Utah County commissioner and on the board of directors of the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Susan Maturlo, has joined the medical staff at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo and Orem Community Hospital. She graduated from Queens College of the City of New York and completed medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is a board-certified endocrinologist with interests in all aspects of endocrinologic problems.Dr.Val Mullinax, has joined the medical staff at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo and Orem Community Hospital. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, as well as the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine.
Dr. Todd B. Engen, has joined the staff of the Central Utah Eye Associates, PC. He received his specialized training through a Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in Scottsdale, Ariz., and an Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of Arizona. He completed his ophthalmic residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center after graduating from the University of Utah School of Medicine.
Charles Fescher has been elected president of the Resident Council at Crestview Care Center in Provo. He has been a resident of Crestview for one year. As president of the Residents Council, he will meet monthly with residents, discuss and give feedback on activities, voice and resolve complaints and nominate outstanding Crestview employees.
Dr. Joseph E. Berg, has joined the medical staff at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo and Orem Community Hospital. He graduated from Brigham Young University and completed medical school at the University of Kansas Medical School. He has performed residencies at USC affiliate Huntington Memorial Hospital, UCLA affiliate Sherman Oaks and the University of Missouri.
