Mary Ruby Sparks Burnham, age 92, passed away peacefully Nov. 28, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah of causes incident to age.

Ruby was born July 26, 1906 in Easton, Kansas, daughter of William Wyatt and Anna Belle Adams Sparks. She was the 5th child in a family of nine. She was married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple to Luther Asael Burnham on April 10, 1931. Asael preceded her in death on March 20, 1994. Ruby was an active member of the LDS Church and served as a temple worker for the Haven Ward, conducting and taking charge of the sealings for the dead.She is survived by three sons, Wendell S. of Salt Lake City; LaVell A. (Jane), Las Vegas, NV; Waldo G. (Joan), West Valley City; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchild; and six step great-grandchildren.

Ruby was a seamstress for Guild Furniture, Intermountain Furniture Co., and was self employed in her home where at one time she sewed cushions for the seating in the Ogden LDS Temple. She loved poetry and music and was a member with her husband, of the Murray Senior Citizens Harmonica Band.

Funeral services will be held at the Haven Ward, 2300 South 300 East, on Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, at 11 a.m. Friends may call from 9:40 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Colonial Memorial Mortuary.
