Farrell George Lewis, 80, died November 30, 1998 in Bountiful, Utah.
He was born May 24, 1918 in Malad, Idaho to George and Jane McKay Lewis. Married Johnetta Grant in 1939. That marriage was solumnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in September of 1959. She died in 1980. Later married Barbara Pugmire on September 11, 1981Farrell served in the Navy during World War II and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. An active member of the LDS Chruch, he served in many capacities, including branch president. He was loved and admired by all those who he came in contact with. He was an avid sportsman.
Survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons, Dr. David (Pam) Lewis, and Randy (Melanie) Lewis, two daughters, Carol Ann (Warren) Olsen, and Terri (George) Coggle; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Mary; and sister, Lila (LaMar) Barnes. Preceded in death by his son, Grant; a brother and sister; and his grandson, Jimmy.
funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service. Interment Malad City Cemetery.
He was a loving and gentle husband, caring father, a generous grandfather and an example of honesty and dependability.
