Matthew Anthony Juretich, 88, passed away Dec. 1, 1998.
Born Jan. 10, 1910 in Austria to John and Anna Juretich. Married Claudia Ballard Aug. 14, 1933. Our Dad was a wonderful and giving father and grandfather. Dancing was his life. He won many ballroom contests. He kept dancing until he was stopped by a broken neck at about 83 years old, but in his heart he never stopped. He loved flowers and buying them for everyone else, always helping others before himself.Oh, how we will miss you, Dad and Grandpa. Your Barney Goo Gal Song, your penny and nickel hunts, your monster scares, your horsey-back rides, your stories, and all the love you have for us. Here's to you, Dad!
Survived by wife; daughter, son and spouses, Tamra and Jack Tapp, Kim and Collette Juretich, Stephen and Kathy Chapman; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Kresh and Swany; daughters, Marlene and Amber Juretich, and Janette Juretich Chapman; grandson and granddaughter, Shawn Tapp and Cami Juretich.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South), where friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m., and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
