SALINA -- Roger Zufelt, 69, of Salina, died November 26, 1998 at his home in Salina.
He was born June 16, 1929 in Vermillion, Utah to Richard Valentine and Sarah Elizabeth Robinson Zufelt. Roger will always be remembered for his sweet disposition and smile. He was a great help to his mother and father in their latter years. He was very proud of his brothers who were jockeys, and supported them in their racing and his father's training of horses. He was custodian of Salina Elementary School for 18 years before his retirement.Member of L.D.S. Church, a carpenter and artist. He helped many people and was a friend to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by loving sisters, Nelda (Marlin) Sorensen, Salina; Marjorie (Walt) Chelonis, Scottsdale, AZ; Mary (Brooks) Collings, Poulsbo, WA; Peggy Loi (Walt) Susjani, Renton, WA; Madge (Milo) Knight, St. George, UT; brothers: Don, Pheonix, AZ; Gary (Joyce), Carmichael, CA; Douglas, Palo Alto, CA. Many nieces and nephews who all loved their "Uncle Roger." Preceded in death by parents, brothers, DeVaun, Ferril, Grant, R.B., and Ralph.
Graveside service Friday December 4, at 2 p.m. in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Salina and Richfield.
