A West Valley teen raided an East Central City home and threw a lamp at a wheelchair-bound elderly woman Wednesday, police said.

The assailant entered the home about 12:15 p.m. wearing a ski mask. He grabbed a knife and took the phone with him as he searched drawers looking for money, Salt Lake Police Lt. Arthur Healey said.He didn't find any money but he grabbed the keys to the truck of a resident of the house. As he left, the woman, 75, tried to get him to stop, Healey said. He got mad and threw a lamp at her, but it missed and hit the wall. The woman was not injured.

The assailant fled in the truck. Police spotted the truck parked near 145 East and 1300 South. A 17-year-old boy walked out of a nearby house and went to get in the vehicle about 4 p.m. Officers were waiting.
