WEST VALLEY CITY -- A man apparently became enraged at a woman he felt was driving too slowly during the Thursday morning commute and later slammed her head against his van.
The woman, 32, was heading north on Redwood Road and stopped at a convenience store on 2300 South about 8 a.m. When she got out of her car, the man grabbed her, West Valley Police Lt. Charles Illsley said."The man was screaming and yelling that she was driving too slow," Illsley said. "He put her hand on her neck and pushed her into the side of his van. He grabbed her so hard, it caused some blood vessels in her neck to burst."
The woman also suffered a mild concussion, police said. She got back into her car and drove to work. Co-workers called police after she fainted. Paramedics transported her to Columbia-St. Mark's Hospital, where she was treated and released, Illsley said.
Police were still looking for the assailant late Thursday. He is in his mid- to late 30s, police said. He had short dark hair and a thin mustache "that looks similar to Hitler's," Illsley said. He was driving an old white van.
