Ruth L. Reynolds, 79, of Salt Lake City, died December 2, 1998.

Ruth was born May 4, 1919, in Ephraim, Utah to Raymond and Virginia Armstrong Lewis. She married Sherman F. Reynolds in Pocatello, Idaho March 10, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1977.Ruth received a Masters Degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She was a graduate of Snow College and Holy Cross School of Nursing. In the early 1950's, Ruth became the first woman admitted to a National Stock Exchange. She was a Registered Principal Broker/Dealer with the NASD, and the President of Kesko and Co., before retiring in 1978.

Ruth was a lifelong Democrat and for many years active in state politics. She will be greatly missed by those who came to know her brilliant mind and sense of humor.

She is survived by her three children, Shirley R. Reynolds of Seattle, WA; Mrs. Thomas (Lucy) Stockburger of Littleton, CO; and Timothy S. Reynolds and his wife, Kirsten of Taylorsville, UT. She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. John T. (Ruby) O'Neill of Ogden, UT and grandchildren, Kenneth, Kristen, Zachary, Desiree, Keely, Kyle, Anthony, Kistina, Timothy and Adele.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
