"I'm going back to Munchkinland. That's going to be really exciting to play the part I played 60 years ago," Pelligrini, 75, said before a rehearsal at the Lancaster Opera House in New York.

Pelligrini is being joined by two of her movie co-stars, Jerry Maren, a Lollipop Kid, and Karl Slover, a munchkin trumpeter.

SMOOTH SAILING AT LAST FOR 'LOVE BOAT' CAPTAIN

It's smooth sailing for Robert Urich in both his personal and professional lives.

His UPN television show, "Love Boat, the Next Wave," has been renewed for six more episodes, and his health has hit calm seas.

"It's the perfect job for me at this point in my life . . . after the medical event," Urich told the Associated Press this week.

The "medical event" was Urich being diagnosed two years ago with synovial sarcoma, a rare cancer that affects joints.

A recent checkup gave him a clean bill of health, said the actor, who turns 52 on Dec. 19.

PRETTY WOMAN ROBERTS DIDN'T DREAM UP THIS ROLE

As a child, Julia Roberts imagined being lots of things when she grew up: an actress wasn't among them.

"If you asked me what I wanted to be, my first answer was to be 6 feet tall. My second was to be a veterinarian," Roberts, 31, told Parade magazine. "And if I'd had a third answer, it is to be joyous and radiate it outward."

Roberts said her instincts led her to acting, with movies such as "Pretty Woman" and the newly released "Stepmom." Roberts, who is divorced from singer Lyle Lovett, is happy to have a new boyfriend -- Benjamin Bratt of NBC's "Law & Order."

"What is the point of having a great job or great day or something spectacular happen if you don't have someone nearby to share it with?" Roberts said. "It's vapor."

The New York Daily News reports that Madonna's friend, Rosie O'Donnell, is buying the singer's $6 million mansion in ritzy Biscayne Bay.

A spokeswoman for the talk show hostess would not say if the deal was done, just that talks were under way.

Madonna's property on well-to-do Brickell is just south of downtown and north of Coconut Grove.
