MIDWAY--Paula Nan Van Wagoner Kohler, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister quietly slipped away to her heavenly home on December 3, 1998.

She was born August 22, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to Paul Halma and Phyllis Van Wagoner. She married Norman Kohler on June 21, 1963 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who had great compassion and selfless service for her loved ones. She supported her children in all their activities and was a regular face at all the athletic events. She has worked for several years at the Wasatch County Hospital and with the IHC Home Health Program. Her patients loved her kind, gentle way and will miss her dearly. She has enjoyed life long service in many church callings and has a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Any leisure time was spent reading, golfing or spending time with her family. Music always had a special place in her heart.Survived by her husband. Daughters: Lynette (Bob) Vernon, Shelly and Katy Kohler all of Orem, UT; five sons: Scott (Stacy) Kohler, Heber City; Craig (Keri) Kohler, Logan; Kirt (Allie) Kohler, Derek (Mindy) Kohler, Provo; and Elder Matthew Quinn Kohler serving in the Roseville, California Mission. Brothers: Philip (Claudia) Van Wagoner, Hemet, CA; Paul (Debbie) Van Wagoner, Green River, WY; and sisters: Peggy (Edd) Thacker, Heber City; and Martha (Roy) Remund, Midway, UT. Also survived by seven grandchildren and Alvin and Lucille Kohler (in-laws). Preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 7, 1998 at 12 noon in the Midway Stake Center (165 North Center), Midway, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday, December 6th at the Midway 1st-2nd Ward (200 S. 250 E.) Midway, Utah from 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the Stake Center from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Midway Cemetery. Funeral services in the care of Olpin Mortuary, Heber City.
