Yarbrough, of course, is the honey-voice crooner who came up with the Limelighters, then went solo with hits like "When the Honey Wind Blows," "Baby the Rain Must Fall" and "Stanyon Street."
He recorded 22 albums for RCA before taking off to sail the world. Between voyages he'd return to do studio work. He has more than 60 albums to his credit.
Currently he narrates the public radio program "Through a Lighthouse Window," where he reads and recites a tapestry of inspirational songs, poems and stories.
Always popular in Utah, Yarbrough used to pack them in at Lagoon back in the '60s. In smaller venues since he has also done well.
As for McLean's music, each year "The Forgotten Carols" grow more memorable for local listeners and become less forgotten.
This new partnership with Yarbrough should enhance the growing popularity of the music.
