Santa accepts a donation from Racell Packer, 10, who gave 55 Beanie Babies and wrapping paper and tape to the Traveler's Aid Society and the YWCA, which are opening a "store" where homeless people can "shop" for donated gifts for their children. For the first time, Travelers Aid Society and the YWCA are collaborating their efforts to provide holiday gifts for more than 500 people. The "store," dubbed Candy Cane Corner, is located at 342 E. 300 South in the old Progressive Music building and will be open through Dec. 24. New, unwrapped gifts are needed. For more information, contact Lynne McHue-Hamilton at 355-2804 or call the store at 220-0726.
