Due to a transposition of numbers, KSTU-Ch. 13's late-news ratings were reported incorrectly in a story last week.

Monday-Friday, the Fox News at Nine averaged a 7.9 rating during the recently completed November sweeps period, considerably lower than the 10.3 that was originally reported. The correct number does, however, still represent a year-to-year increase for Ch. 13, with that rating improving a half a point from November 1997 to November 1998.However, that also means that Ch. 13 remains in fourth place in the late news ratings race. That 7.9 rating is 21 percent lower than the 10.0 rating achieved by KUTV-Ch. 2's 10 p.m. newscast.

And third-place Ch. 2 is right on the heels of second-place KTVX-Ch. 4, trailing by less than 4 percent.

When averaging in the Saturday and Sunday late-news ratings, the order remains the same, but Ch. 13, of course, is not as close a fourth-place finisher. KSL-Ch. 5 remains the leader with an average 18.6 rating; Ch. 2 is in second with a 10.1; Ch. 4 is in third with a 10.0; and Ch. 13 is in fourth with an 8.1.

Those numbers for Ch. 2 and Ch. 4 are about as close as they could possibly be.
