Lance Pendleton, Dixie, 6-1, 175, Sr. Incredible quarterback passed

for state-record 3,312 yards and 27 touchdowns while leading the Flyers

to the state chamionship. He also rushed for 711 yards and had 10

interceptions on defense.

QUARTERBACK

ADAM MADSEN, Uintah, 6-0, 205, Sr.

One of the state's most talented and versatile QBs, he passed and rushed for 2,124 yards and was responsible for 34 touchdowns for the Utes.

RUNNING BACKS

DAVID MARCHANT, Cedar City, 6-1, 190, Sr.

Region 9 MVP averaged 130 yards rushing per game. Two-year starter also led the Redmen in tackles as a junior and a senior.

ANTHONY PARKER, Granite, 5-7, 165, Sr.

Flashy running back was named the Region 7 offensive MVP for gaining 1,709 yards and 14 TDs on 202 carries. He had 5,552 career all-purpose yards.

WIDE RECEIVERS

CODY FONNESBECK, Dixie, 5-8, 150, Sr.

Lightning-quick receiver hauled in 69 receptions for 1,526 and 14 TDs. He also had 901 yards on kickoff returns and a total of 2,691 all-purpose yards.

TREVOR RICHINS, Uintah, 6-3, 205, Sr.

Excellent receiver caught 55 passes for 1,010 yards (18.1 yards/catch) and 11 TDs. He had five INTs and 93 total tackles as a safety.

TIGHT END

BEN ALLISON, Ogden, 6-2, 215, Sr.

University of Utah-bound tight end caught 25 passes for 478 yards and seven touchdowns. Also scored two touchdowns on kick returns.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN

PAUL FISHER, Dixie, 6-8, 315, Jr.

Monstrous lineman only allowed one sack all season while providing great pass protection for the Flyers. He had 85 tackles and four sacks on defense.

IKAIKA UPERESA, North Sanpete, 6-2, 270, Sr.

Powerful lineman paved a path for Hawks' running backs. "He's a great O-lineman. He runs very well and has excellent technique." -- Coach Mark Wootton.

JEFF ARCHIBALD, Bear River, 6-1, 215, Sr.

Hard worker allowed running backs to rush for over 1,500 yards behind him. "He's not super big, but he's really physical and athletic." -- Coach Ryan Bishop.

TREK GUBLER, Snow Canyon, 6-1, 200, Sr.

Stocky lineman was tough in each of the trenches. "He's very strong and intense. He's a great leader." -- Coach Bill Jacobsen.

MIKE BEIRD, North Sanpete, 6-0, 185, Sr.

Tough two-way trenchman had 43 solo tackles and assisted on 56 others despite being undersized on the line.

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

CLINT McKELL, Lehi, 6-3, 250, Sr.

Despite being double- and triple-teamed, he had 100 tackles, 28 hurries and 10 sacks. "He could not be contained with just one blocker." -- Coach Steve Clements.

MARK CORRY, Cedar City, 6-0, 190, Sr.

Talented two-way lineman was a legitimate force. He led Cedar in tackles for loss and was the second-leading tackler two years in a row.

SCOTT FISHER, Dixie, 6-8, 315, Jr.

Made a very intimidating bookend set with his twin brother. He had 57 tackles and only allowed six sacks in 14 games.

JESSE KNIGHT, Pine View, 6-4, 218, Sr.

Hard-hitting defensive end piled up impressive stats -- 121 tackles, 12 sacks and four blocked punts for the Panthers.

LINEBACKERS

DALLIN CHASE, Delta, 5-10, 165, Sr.

Jack of all trades led the Rabbits in tackling and receiving. "He was our overall leader. He is the complete package." -- Coach Dean Fowles.

MATT ROBERTS, North Sanpete, 6-0, 220, Sr.

Two-year starter made life miserable on opposing offenses. He had 73 unassisted tackles, 56 assisted. "He loves to hit." -- Coach Mark Wootton.

ED KINSEY, Morgan, 5-10, 165, Sr.

Region 7 defensive MVP led the Trojans for two years in tackling. He also averaged 7.2 yards per carry as a running back.

BEAU BARKER, Uintah, 6-1, 210, Sr.

Solid linebacker made 110 tackles (49 solo) and two INTs. As a fullback, he carried the ball 118 times for 840 yards and had 240 yards receiving.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

BRANDON ORTON, Cedar City, 6-5, 190, Sr.

Crafty cornerback was stingy against all opposing receivers and had five picks. Cedar's leading receiver scored eight times and averaged 30 yards a catch.

RICK RASMUSSEN, Union, 6-1, 195, Sr.

Cougars' MVP snagged eight interceptions, two fumbles and made 95 tackles. As QB, he passed for 1,888 yards and 11 TDs. He also rushed for 10 TDs.

KRIS PETERSON, Delta, 5-10, 165, Sr.

Quick Rabbit had five interceptions, returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and averaged 140 yards rushing per game.

BRECKEN COX, Dixie, 6-3, 185, Sr.

Solid two-way player had 59 solo tackles and five INTs as a DB, while picking up 511 yards and two TDs on 33 receptions.

RAND JANES, Canyon View, 6-3, 185, Sr.

Fine free safety picked off eight passes and made 76 tackles. As a QB, he passed for 770 yards and seven TDs and rushed for 630 yards and 11 scores.

KICKER/PUNTER

DAVE HORLACHER, Dixie, 6-3, 185, Sr.

Booted 45 punts for a 41.2 yard average, including seven inside the 10-yard line. Also made 41 of 46 PATs, four FGs and had 24 touchbacks.

SPECIALIST

CLINT RYDALCH, Tooele, 5-10, 185, Sr.

Versatile athlete punted for an average of 39.9 yards a kick. He also rushed for 1,050 yards, made 62 tackles and had three TD catches.
