CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden has completed his new staff with former Tulane offensive coordinator Rich Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, passed over for the head jobs at Tulane and Middle Tennessee State, late Tuesday accepted an offer to become the Tigers' offensive coordinator and assistant head coach.He turned down the top job at Southwestern Louisiana to join Bowden at Death Valley. "The advantage to Clemson is you're in a bigger arena and a chance for people to see your offense," Rodriguez said. "You're in front of a lot of folks in a top-notch conference at a big-time football school."
