OGDEN -- Fire officials are continuing to investigate the source of a blaze that destroyed part of two downtown businesses and caused extensive smoke damage.

Ogden Fire Battalion Chief Dave Owens said the Monday evening fire at Utah Tailoring Mill was battled for six hours by 29 firefighters.The fire actually started in a pet-grooming business at 3086 Washington Blvd. that was housed in the same building as the mill.

Several thousand dollars worth of cloth was destroyed in the fire, Owens said.

There were no human injuries reported in the blaze, although a cat was killed.
