Members of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's SWAT team found their time was well spent on a raid Tuesday night when they nabbed a man wanted on a number of charges.

Sgt. Jim Potter said investigators had followed the 23-year-old man to a residence in the 8000 South block of Redwood Road and determined he had gone inside. The man, however, would not come out.

Because of the potential for danger, the SWAT team was called to the home at 11:40 p.m.

They arrested, without incident, a man wanted for $21,000 in misdemeanor warrants, a second-degree felony warrant issued at $20,000 and a no-bail drug charge, Potter said.
