Kenneth R. Vance, our loving husband, father and grandfather, went peacefully to meet his Heavenly Father on December 7, 1998 at the age of 71.
Born July 13, 1927 in Fairview, Utah, son of Glen Elroy and Marjorie Fowles Vance. Married Cherie Lee Huntsman on November 19th, 1948. They enjoyed 50 wonderful years together.Member of the LDS Church. Ken served his country during World War II and was a member of the V.F.W. He was also a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, Local #19. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin.
His last trip to Mesquite will stay with him forever. He was the most loving, caring and devoted husband and father, and received the most joy from taking care of his family. We will all miss him greatly.
Survived by his wife, Cherie, West Valley City; sons, Jay Glen (Kathy) Vance, Magna; Lee Robert (Kellie) Vance, Sandy; daughter, Jenafer Dian (Lee) Warnken, West Valley; grandchildren, Krista, Brendan, Jessica, Chantal, Virginia and Kenny Lee; brothers, Allen (Norma) Vance, Jerold Vance; sisters, Maurine (Elroy) Brady, Loraine (Myrth) Miner, Winnie (Art) Nielson. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bert.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. and again Saturday, 11 - 11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
