Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away December 6, 1998 in West Valley City, at age 88.

She was born May 16, 1910 in Salt Lake City, to George Otis and Agnes Anderson Terry. She married William Hartley Holmes, February 14, 1930, and they lived in Salt Lake City and West Valley City, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death on January 18, 1983.She was a member of the LDS Church, and served in various church callings throughout he life, including serving a Spanish Genealogy Extraction Mission. Her life was devoted to her large family of children and grandchildren, who will very much miss her living interest in them.

She is survived by seven children, Dona (Donald) Thorup, Gail (Keith) Yocom, Robert Wm. (Deon) Holmes, Diane (William) Nicewinter, Ronald K. (Nancy) Holmes, Jolene Henderson, all of West Valley City, and Steven L. (Eileen) Homes, of Anderson, Alaska; 30 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters and two brothers, Rebecca Sewell, Medford, Oregon; Myrtle Burt, Glendora, CA; Merrill Terry, Cedar City, UT; Vernile Terry, LaVerkin, UT; Enid Stroud, Salt Lake City, UT. She was preceded in death by husband, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 1 998 at 11 a.m. at the Granger North Stake Center, 3175 So. 3450 West, West Valley City, UT. Friends and family may call Thursday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road and Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
