RIVER HEIGHTS--Lorna J. Siler, 70, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 1998 at her home in River Heights as a result of a heart attack.

She was born March 16, 1928 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of James and Lucy Neuenschwander Ellis. She attended schools in Malad and Pocatello, Idaho. On April 26, 1945, she married Ernest E. Siler of Fort Hall, Idaho in Salinas, California, just prior to his departure to the Philippines in World War II. On January 23, 1946, their marriage was sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.Lorna was preceded in death in death by her son, James Ellis Siler, her parents, two loving stepfathers, Frank Porter and Frank Hammon; a sister, Verda Gibson; and two brothers, Dean Ellis and Vern Ellis.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Siler; by her five children, Maradee Petersen (Craig), Dale Siler (Chalyce), Richard Siler (Lynette), Lynn Siler (Joyce), Jon Siler (Marianne), a daughter-in-law, Brenda Tullis (Blake); a loving stepmother, Lucy Ellis; and 26 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998 at the Providence LDS Stake Center, 800 South 600 East, River Heights, Utah. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, and at the Providence LDS Stake Center on Thurday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial wil be in the Providence Cemetery in River Heights.
