Renee Swapp Jensen, age 71, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away December 7, 1998 in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Renee was born April 18, 1927, to James Lorin and Loretta Jones Swapp. Married Noal Wayne Jensen on June 3, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked as a bookkeeper for Bill Roderick's Oil Company, Hibbs Clothing, Wasatch Electric and Ryder Engineering and retired as a secretary at the Monte Vista School in Farmington, Utah. Renee's life was happiest when she served those she loved. She was active in the LDS Church and held many callings throughout her life.Renee is survived by daughters, Christine J. Botelho, Janeen J. Wright, both of Bountiful; sons, Roger W. Jensen (Gloria), Sanger, California; Mark S. Jensen (Diane), Kaysville; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters. Lorna D. Olsen (Dick), Bountiful; Colleen S. Winther (Tom), Murray; brothers, James L. Swapp (Gloria), Farmington; Howard J. Swapp (Annette), Sandy. Preceded in death by her husband, Noal, parents and brother, Sherrill.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Bountiful 31st Ward Chapel, 585 East Center Street. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Friday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment, Sunset Gardens of the Valley.
