The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women now awaits ratification by the U.S. Senate.
The official position of the United States at the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights stated: "Violence and discrimination against women don't just victimize individuals; they hold back whole societies. Guaranteeing human rights is a moral imperative with respect to both women and men. It is also an investment in making whole nations stronger, fairer and better."Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their mothers, their wives, their daughters and all the women in Utah, by encouraging Sens. Orrin Hatch and Bob Bennett to vote in favor of U.S. ratification of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.
