H. Wayne Craw, age 80, died at home in Logan, Utah, on February 7, 1998, after a long valiant struggle with congestive heart failure. Wayne was truly loved and cherished by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Born December 22, 1917, in Minersville, Utah, to Charles Nelson Craw and Lydia Fern Talbot Craw. He was raised in Minersville and graduated from Beaver High School in 1936. He moved to Logan in 1939 and received a two-year degree in auto/diesel technology from Utah Agriculture College.Wayne was a faithful member of the LDS Church, where he served in many leadership positions. Wayne enjoyed his career, church callings, gradening and sports.
Most importantly, he was totally and selflessly dedicated to his family. He was a great example of honesty, integrity, patience, perseverance, and hard work to all who knew him.
Wayne is survived by Beth, his wife of 56 years; four children, Ann Craw Holden, Ogden; Marcia (Daryl) Moss, Elko, NV; Gary (Claudia) Craw, Twin Falls, ID; and Jan (Mike) Cain, North Ogden; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Theda (Kirk) Martin, Salina; brothers, Charles (Dorothy) Craw, Richmond; and Jim (Eileen) Craw, Minersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beth, and brothers, Net, Bert and Jack.
The family will greet friends at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 6-8 p.m. and again wednesday from 10:30-1130 a.m. at the church. Funeral services will be held at the Logan 10th Ward Chapel, 500 East 800 North, at 12 noon, Wednesday. Burial, Logan City Cemetery with full military honors.
