Harry Hiroshi Kimura passed away at his home in Salt Lake City on February 8, 1998.

He was born March 21, 1921 in Gunnison, Utah, the eldest son of Suyekichi Kimura and Shige Mayehara. He attended elementary school in Clarion, Utah and high school in Gunnison. He married Rui "Ricki" Hashima on February 14, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She preceded him in death December 18, 1988.Harry stayed on the farm in Gunnison all his life, taking over after his parents retired. He was a member of the Lion Club, the Jaycees and was chairman of the Sanpete County ASCS for nine years. He was on the FHA Board for three years and was an active member of the Gunnison Valley Bank Board of Directors until his passing.

He is survived by his son, Chris and wife, Ronda, Tracy, CA; daughter, Naomi Nowzari, Bailey, CO; grandchildren, Natalie and Emily, Tracy, CA; brother, Mike (June) in San Jose, CA; sisters, Mary Tokonami (Kiyohiko), Kagoshima, Japan; Sara Sadakane, Santa Ana, CA; Aiko (Walter) Asato, El Cerrito, CA; many nieces and nephews. His youngest brother, Tak (Natsuko) preceded him in death in 1996.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, 12 noon, at the Japanese Church of Christ, 268 West 100 South, SLC. Family and friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 south 900 East, SLC, and Saturday, at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Rose Hill Memorial Park, Whittier, CA.

The family requests no flowers but it is suggested that those wishing to do so, make contributions in his name to Japanese Church of Christ, 268 W. 100 South, SLC, UT
